Dominoes are game pieces, formerly made of bone or ivory and wood, and mostly made of painted wood or plastic in contemporary times. There are two methods of reading Dominoes for fortune telling -- the "Gypsy Domino Fortune Telling" system (which is actually British and American, despite the name) and the "Yoruba Domino Oracle," (which is actually from the Cuban Santeria tradition, despite the name).

A British chromolith postcard, mailed in 1918, which plays upon the prediction of personal loss that ensues when one pulls a double-blank in domino reading. It is No. 1105 in the "National" Series by M. & L., Ltd.

Both methods of domino reading are described in full in "Throwing the Bones: How to Foretell the Future with Bones, Shells, and Nuts" by catherine yronwode. They are covered on pages 54-60.
